How often have you tried to fact-check others into agreeing with you?

So often we want to come at people with better facts and information. We want to correct all the things we think are wrong about their beliefs. The problem? That's not how most of us think: we are not aggregators of facts but rather inhabiters of narratives.

We must learn to co-create those narratives together. We must listen to each other enough to be able to tell a story large enough for all of us.

In this session, we will pull on the the work of Naomi Klein and Astra Taylor's End Times Fascism, Steven Hassan's The Cult of Trump, and Colin Woodard's Nations Apart to practice weaving a better story for all of us to live in.
